The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Warriors Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing celestial beings, evil spirits, and dark forces increasing in strength within the city.

Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the premier party of characters who will separate from the primary party to embark on their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.

This warrior group includes the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

With 13 cast members, it was obvious from the start that having everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Combat Party

Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are rare.

Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing kicked off the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The antagonist then settled his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each member has a individual motive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the companion and best friend, seeks vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a hostile environment.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could help the party access locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him wherever.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The healer defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to journey toward the remote area in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

According to episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the players to round up the Explorers and Strategists parties.

Viewers can look forward to finding out which adventurers will be where in the season’s last Overture episode, available to watch on next week.
